A blend from our remaining red historic Bordeaux varieties and Merlot. Under Giancarlo Ageno, this wine would have previously been labelled as Bordeaux and even Bordò. When Raffaele Pantaleoni purchased the estate, the wine changed not only in its composition with the addition of newly planted Cabernet Sauvignon, but also in name becoming Stoppa which we stopped producing with the removal of the Cabernet Sauvignon in 2006. Like our Trebbiolo, Riostoppa takes its name from one of the small streams passing through the estate.
